Christen Pontius, PT, DPT

Christen Pontius is a Huntsville, AL native and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of South Alabama and her Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Education with a Concentration in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). She specializes in orthopedics, manual therapy, and treating various medical diagnosis and disorders. She is trained in Spinal Manipulative Therapy from the Spinal Manipulation Institute as well as a certification in Dry Needling (Cert DN) from the Dry Needling Institute of the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, and Lumbar Assessment with the McKenzie Method through the McKenzie Institute. In conjunction, she has experience with Mulligan mobilizations, IASTM techniques, and aquatic therapy.

Hobbies outside the clinic include biking, running, kayaking, hiking in the backcountry, and traveling with friends and family.

Emphasis Training: Complete McKenzie Method and Spinal Manipulation Institute certifications as well as complete credentialing as a Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
