Prior to this degree, Kelli earned a Bachelors of Science degree with a Major in Math/Minor in French/Certification in Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. After teaching high school math, Kelli decided to pursue a career in fitness.

Through American Academy on Exercise, Kelli became a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Kelli taught Silver Sneakers, Parkinson’s Classes, Dancing to the Oldies, Senior Fit Express Circuit Training, Spin, Step Aerobics, Kick boxing and Body pump at Franco’s in Mandeville.

Kelli’s passion for fitness drove her to become a PTA. Since PTA School Graduation in 2013, Kelli has gained a variety of experience. She worked at St Tammany Hospital in Acute, Inpatient, and Outpatient settings. Next, she worked at Star in an outpatient setting and finally she works here, at Rehab Dynamic, while working part-time for Egan Home Health.

“My favorite part of each session is the manual therapy, which allows me to explore areas of sensitivity, extreme inflammation, tight muscles, instability in joints, etc. I am then able to focus my treatments upon my finds during that time. It’s empowering to know that my hands can take away someone else’s pain.”

Because of her teaching skills and fitness certifications, Kelli is able to educate all patients on the purpose of each activity. In addition, she is knowledgeable of correct form/posture. Most importantly, she is intuitive to the patients’ moods and is able to establish sessions geared towards their interests to help make therapy fun.
